One mic. Lots of ideas.
The Ohmie is a high-output, low-noise condenser microphone made to capture voices and instruments with a finished, musical sound.
-
What is that mic?
The Ohmie is built to move between sources: vocals, instruments, spoken word, and field recording. It has a full low end, clear, substantial mids, and a smooth top end with plenty of detail. -
High-output.
Its transformerless circuit delivers a strong, clean signal, so you need less gain from your preamp. -
Low noise.
Just 8 dB-A of self-noise in both voltage modes makes the Ohmie a quiet choice for soft vocals, voiceover, and other delicate recordings. -
Two sonic modes.
Switch between 48V and 80V to change how the capsule responds: natural and relaxed, or immediate and defined. -
A sleek form factor.
A compact aluminum body, built-in capsule isolation, and a custom isolation clip keep the setup elegant and camera-ready. -
Made in East LA.
Designed and assembled in East Los Angeles, California by the Ohma World team.
Dual Voltage
One capsule, two voltages
A switch on the back lets you choose how the Ohmie’s capsule responds. At 48V, it’s smooth and balanced. At 80V, it’s more sensitive, with a more immediate, defined response. Choose for the character, not just the level. Both modes use standard 48V phantom power from your interface or field recorder.
Natural. Relaxed. Balanced.
0:00 / 0:00
Both at -20 LUFS, so you hear the character, not the volume.
Real levels, same preamp gain. 48V plays about 5 dB quieter.
At 48V, the Ohmie is natural, relaxed, and balanced. The capsule runs at standard phantom voltage. Vocals feel natural and intimate, while acoustic instruments have plenty of body and resonance. With 5 dB more headroom than 80V, 48V also gives loud performances and sharp transients more room before distortion. A strummed guitar keeps its space, and vocals settle naturally into the track.

What We're Hearing
Transformerless never sounded so lush and sweet.
I’m loving the voicing on both the 48V and 80V settings … Sounds so full and also detailed.
80V is all I want in life.
Testimonial
The mic is incredibly musical and can capture all the details of any source you throw at it. It’s as if it’s already mixed in the track while you’re recording. The high end is smooth, and the low and mids are butter. On top of that, it’s probably one of the best looking microphones out now.
Magnetic Pop Filter
Plosive control that feels like part of the microphone. Made for close-up vocals, voiceover and podcasts.
Snaps on in a second
A magnet hidden behind the logo holds it in place. Nothing to tighten.
Moves with the mic
Re-angle for each take and it stays lined up. No readjusting.
Tames pops & breath
A lattice mesh and water-repellent acoustic fabric help cut plosives, wind noise, and moisture.
Pop filter works fantastically! The magnet is super solid (and feels very distinctly Ohma) and it handles plosives as good if not better than any other pop filter I have.
Save $49 in this Black Friday bundle: the Ohmie and the magnetic pop filter.
